The **American Heart Association** has an excellent opportunity for a **Sr. IT Project Manager** in our **National Center** office located in **Dallas, TX.**
The **Sr. IT Project Manager** is a senior professional responsible for driving the delivery of strategic, top-priority technical projects that require interaction with senior management and significant financial investment. Provides effective and critical cross-project coordination to ensure projects align with the strategic vision and have cohesiveness running throughout all. Accountable for following the American Heart Association's project methodology for technology delivery and ensuring outcomes are aligned with the organization's enterprise business strategies, technical architecture, compliance, legal, governance, and digital governance points. Responsible for establishing work priorities for and overseeing the efforts of staff and vendors to achieve project objectives. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on key Program, Product, and Project initiatives.

Responsibilities
+ Manages strategic coordination across several high-impact initiatives and related projects. Initiates, plans, executes, monitors, controls, and closes assigned executive-sponsored or multi-level complex projects. Assigned projects may include strategic, top-priority efforts that require interaction and management with high visibility and significant financial investment.
+ Owns and ensures complex deliverable outputs that align with business strategic vision and operational revenue goals by taking on multiple, highly capable loads of responsibility, including being nimble to serve as expert Project Manager, Business Analyst, Program or Product Subject Matter Expert, Quality Assurance advisor, or stand-in.
+ Establishes work priorities for and directs the efforts of personnel (including consultants or contractors) involved in project-controlled tasks required to meet an approved project's objectives. Provides expedient response, resolution of roadblocks, mitigation of risks, and re-evaluation of priorities for the team.
+ Provides analysis and consultation to determine project requirements and scope.
+ Develops initial scope, project plans, and forecasts of resource scheduling needs. Identifies scope, provides insight, and takes action to resolve issues as well as initiate steps to mitigate, manage, and control. Monitors project performance using key performance indicators and makes necessary adjustments.
+ Identifies, models, and leverages project management best practices. Provides expertise in waterfall, agile, and hybrid project management methodologies, setting the standard and model of excellence and delivery across the organization.
+ Troubleshot project and change management problems and developed plans to adhere to timelines and budgets. Anticipates risks and issues. Establishes options and solutions for mitigation, considering the impact of decisions. Acts as the initial point of contact for escalated issues and is the designated owner to ensure the resolution of all escalated issues. Provides options and seeks leadership guidance for unresolved concerns, driving for rapid closure. Responsible for escalating project issues for resolution and actively communicating to ensure project awareness and engagement from key BT and business senior leadership.
+ Champions and sets the leading standard for project governance best practices, actively controls project changes, and manages related communications. Identifies, establishes, and maintains excellent business relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders. Recommends and influences decision-making within project scope. Drives change management for programs/projects across the organization by working directly with senior business leadership, senior technology leadership, and by mentoring project teams and other project managers across the technology organization.
+ Manages capital asset and project operational expenses within the project budget. Performs analysis for return on investment reporting for high-dollar projects (more than $5K.
+ Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.
Qualifications
+ 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
+ Extensive experience working with multiple vendors at the same time in complex environments that contain complex ecosystems with many vendor contributors and integrations.
+ Extensive experience managing and driving high-profile and high-revenue-generating projects, including cross-departmental business owners, vendors, and cross-departmental technology teams such as infrastructure networking, security, engineering, data architecture, support, and development.
+ Experience with presenting project overviews, updates, and decks to senior and executive leadership.
+ Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions or similar complex scenarios that involved extensive and deep change management, multiple vendors, integrated environments, significant ambiguity, and high-pressure time constraints.
+ Expert experience with creating and maintaining key detailed project artifacts, including but not limited to RAID logs, detailed program/project plans, Cutover Execution plans, Vendor Request for Proposals, Project Charters, Requirements documentation, and Status Update decks.
+ This role requires an individual to wear “multiple hats” of responsibility, and the occupant must have a strong desire and capability to work within a fast-changing environment that involves pivoting of focus day to day.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 8 years minimum prior relevant experience in leading highly complex projects
+ 7 years minimum prior relevant experience with SaaS systems and integrations
