Job Summary
As the Nursing Excellence Program Manager, you guide nursing practices. You work to achieve awards like Magnet or Pathway to Excellence. Knowledge of award requirements is essential. You assess readiness and prepare the organization.
Essential Functions of the Role: Nursing Excellence Program Coordinator
+ Develop and maintain systems and processes required to achieve and sustain Magnet® Recognition Program or Pathway to Excellence® designation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and nursing standards.
+ Coordinate assessments and evaluations to prepare for Nursing Excellence awards, serving as the primary liaison between the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and nursing leaders across departments.
+ Lead shared decision-making initiatives by creating and implementing clinical councils that promote collaboration, professional development, and quality improvement within nursing teams.
+ Manage Magnet and Pathway to Excellence documentation, including application preparation, data collection, and event coordination during surveys and site visits.
+ Support nursing quality improvement efforts through data analysis, benchmarking, and safety monitoring; collaborate with other hospitals and organizations to advance nursing excellence and patient care outcomes.

+ Advanced critical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities in complex healthcare environments.
+ Proven organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Proficiency in data management, documentation, and general computer applications.

Qualifications
+ Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
+ Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
+ Have a valid and current registration as a Registered Nurse License.
