    Job Title: Payroll Compliance Specialist

    Job Description

    The Payroll Compliance Specialist is responsible for the overall day-to-day activities related to DBRA compliance. This role involves collecting data, preparing certified payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Collect data and prepare certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with DBRA and related acts.

    + Submit data via web-based applications, including pay rates, fringe benefit statements, and employer training contributions.

    + Verify the correctness and compliance of payroll data with applicable rules and regulations.

    + Review contracts to determine additional labor compliance requirements.

    + Send correspondence for missing documents and request revised documentation to ensure compliance.

    + Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issues.

    + Provide training and guidance on prevailing wage requirements and payroll procedures.

    + Collaborate with the field operations team, legal, and accounting/finance team to ensure accurate processing of payrolls.

    + Maintain detailed records of wages, hours worked, and job classifications for audit purposes.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in union payroll, certified payroll, and payroll processing.

    + Experience with payroll software and Excel.

    + Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

    + Minimum of 3 years in payroll processing, preferably in construction or government contracting.

    + Experience with prevailing wage payroll and certified payroll reporting is highly desirable.

    Work Environment

    This role operates from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with one day of remote work per week. It is based in a nice office within a growing company!

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
