Role Description
The Financial analyst/accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys turning data into insight, working across many functions, modelling and accounting activities.
The role will assist in preparing forecasts including cashflow, analyzing results, and working with financial models. This role will report to the Controller and work closely with the cost accountant, staff accountant and the Sr. Director of Finance. It will also have exposure to Corporate Accounting function and will assist in other departmental projects.

Responsibilities
• Support the budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, and weekly Flash preparation. Works with business to gather input from department leaders and finance personnel
• Assists in the cost and pricing modeling for US government contracts and participate in updating models & documenting work instructions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly actual reports; identify key drivers of variances and prepare commentary for reporting.
• Support development of cash flow forecasts working closely with the AR and AP and controller to development weekly 26-week cashflow forecast.
• Maintain and improve financial models.
• Collaborate and assist in the accounting and ensure accurate expense coding, accruals, and cost center review and analysis.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for KPIs.
• Participate in financial reporting and corporate deliverables, compiling and summarizing data for commentary.
• Support ongoing and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and be involved in project related activities.
• Assist the department in all aspects of accounting and timecard administration as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Up to 3-7 years of experience in FP&A, financial related field and exposure to cost accounting and financial reporting (manufacturing is a plus).
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills with experience in BI or ERP tools.
• Working knowledge of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and variance analysis.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with numbers and accuracy.
• Motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $65.00/hr.
