    Purpose of the Role

    Join us as a **Manufacturing Engineering Intern** and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of construction products. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and operations professionals to improve manufacturing processes, solve complex problems, and contribute to product innovation.

     

    As part of our ITW internship program, you will encourage you to think and act like an entrepreneur. You will learn and develop through real-world job assignments, mentorship, and networking with a community of interns and ITW leaders. The position is located at our manufacturing facility in the town of Pocahontas, in the heart of northeast Arkansas.

    Key Responsibilities

    As a key member of our team, you will:

    + Assist in projects related to automation, layout changes and quality assurance.

    + Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing to develop and refine production processes.

    + Investigate manufacturing challenges and design machine-based solutions.

    + Analyze process data, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations..

    + Help document and standardize procedures to ensure consistent product quality and performance.

    Required Qualifications

    + Rising junior or senior pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering degree.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft office; Basic CAD modeling experience with Solid Works a plus.

    Expected Learning

    + Exposure to manufacturing environments

    + Root cause analysis

    + Exposure to fastener manufacturing and packaging; including:

    + Automated equipment

    + Fastener Heading, threading and associated QC methods

    + Associated quality requirements and inspection methods to ensure product conformity & performance

    Compensation Information:

    The hourly rate for this position is $23.00. Please note that this wage information serves as a general guideline. The company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
