Job Duties and Responsibilities
Echostar is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join its Regulatory Engineering and Operations team. This role is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and testing of critical 911 Emergency Services for Boost Mobile and will report to the Manager of Regulatory Engineering and Operations.
A strategic part of the Boost Mobile business, this role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with organizations and to influence public safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Monitor and maintain the stability and performance of Echostar’s 911 services and platforms
+ Assess service impacts and support maintenance activities
+ Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to 911 systems
+ Analyze logs and KPIs from multiple platforms and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to identify and mitigate complex issues
+ Implement and test network enhancements or issues
+ Implement best practices to maintain compliance and optimize emergency services operations
+ Maintain accurate documentation, processes, and procedures for 911 operations
+ Participate in incident troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis and recommend process or system improvements
+ Participate in or lead 911/NG911 technology roadmap planning
+ Define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor 911 performance and compliance
+ Other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Telecommunications, or related technical field, and a minimum of 4 years of wireless engineering or operations experience
+ Relevant job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Experience implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track service health and performance
+ Experience with incident management and Root Cause Analysis
+ Experience with databases and analytics tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and ElasticSearch
+ Technical knowledge and prior operational experience operating wireless 5G and/or 4G networks, preferably overseeing emergency and location technologies
+ Familiarity with FCC Rules and Regulations related to 911 with the ability to operationalize 911 technologies in a manner that ensures compliance
+ Demonstrated career progression, increasing in responsibilities and skill development
+ Good verbal, written, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work with other organizations and teams as a 911 technical consultant
+ Ability to support maintenance activities, on-call rotation, network change management, and service validation
+ Ability to support multiple tasks or projects
+ Experience working with emergency service providers, Global Mobile Location Center (GMLC) providers, or public safety agencies
+ Experience with Location-Based Services (LBS) and location accuracy testing
+ Experience creating KPIs, processes, and designing scalable workflows
+ Experience with U.S. wireless regulations and standards

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $140,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
