The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team enables the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. We do this by designing and managing the systems, tools, and strategies that drive commercial excellence spanning compensation, performance insights, planning, skilling, and sales tools. The MCAPS E&O Revenue Operations team plays an important role in empowering every person in MCAPS to serve customers by activating and innovating Microsoft’s commercial engine.
As a Sales Operations Strategy & Planning Lead on the MCAPS E&O Revenue Operations team, you’ll help shape the future of Microsoft’s commercial sales engine. This team leads the transformation of our end-to-end sales planning processes—improving efficiency, enabling AI-driven insights, and helping teams better serve our customers.

Responsibilities
Lead Annual Planning for a Region:
Drive and execute the end-to-end regional sales planning process, including segmentation, territory design, blueprint planning (BP), and employee data management (EDM), to deliver an integrated and data-informed resource model that accelerates total addressable market capture and fuels revenue growth in line with business priorities and long-term strategy. Leverage data and business intelligence to inform strategy, challenge assumptions, and recommend optimized workforce models. Monitor in-year performance and deliver regular insights and recommendations to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions.
Drive Project Execution:
Own the regional planning calendar and milestones. Coordinate across Core, Finance, HR, and Operations to deliver integrated, on-time plans and ensure stakeholder accountability.
Enhance Tooling with AI:
Collaborate with field and engineering teams to improve planning tools and integrate AI-driven solutions that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, eliminate redundancies, and unlock new insights through automation and intelligent reporting.
Engage & Influence Stakeholders:
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert—translating strategy into clear, compelling deliverables. Bridge core (headquarters) teams and field teams, facilitating alignment and execution of workforce strategies.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
