    The **Senior Finance Manager - GTM, Americas Partner** role within the **MCAPS Americas Finance team** focuses on driving strategic impact by delivering actionable insights that guide investment decisions and resource allocation. You will provide insights that inform resource planning, collaborate with Enterprise and Channel Partner organizations to align technology priorities with partner capabilities, influence leadership through compelling data-driven storytelling, work independently beyond standard FP&A rhythms to meet evolving business needs, and demonstrate curiosity, resourcefulness, and accountability in all aspects of your work.

    Responsibilities

    Partnership

    + Develop innovative approaches to leverage advanced technologies (e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics) to achieve goals and improve productivity through optimized reporting and accurate insights.

    + Integrate diverse data sources into clear, comprehensive narratives and communicate results through compelling, timely, and understandable storytelling.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners to support growth, manage risk, and design solutions for complex financial challenges. Gather feedback and apply data analysis to enhance experiences while balancing customer focus, sales enablement, and cost-effectiveness.

    + Provide actionable business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to support financial goals such as resource allocation, cost optimization, and revenue management. Collaborate with leaders to define and execute plans based on analysis.

    + Apply deep knowledge of Microsoft Finance systems, policies, and market dynamics to evaluate results, forecasts, and filings. Develop strategies to proactively mitigate or address macroeconomic and geopolitical risks and assess potential impacts of change.

    Prioritize

    + Contribute to innovative methods for data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Offer guidance on data reliability, articulate limitations, and propose solutions for effective data management.

    + Support business leaders with actionable insights during financial close periods by reviewing statements, forecasts, and presentations, identifying trends, and recommending solutions.

    + Conduct variance analyses on revenue and expenses, identify causes, and recommend optimizations. Perform modeling and research on financial performance, resource allocation, pricing, and investment opportunities.

    + Assist in annual planning and forecasting by developing and testing financial models, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing budgets to enable strategic decision-making.

    Protect

    + Review and interpret financial and budgetary reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Recommend and implement corrective measures when needed.

    + Foster collaboration between business stakeholders and audit teams, providing clear responses and documentation during audits.

    + Manage accounting and compliance processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to local and global regulations. Advise peers on policy compliance and share financial data responsibly to minimize risk.

    + Monitor revenue recognition and ensure alignment with policies and procedures. Translate regulatory changes into actionable steps for business operations while upholding Microsoft’s privacy, security, and ethical standards.

    Qualifications

    Required/minimum qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ year(s) of experience successfully collaborating with partners and engaging stakeholders, translating complex financial concepts for diverse audiences, and driving alignment in decision-making while constructively challenging assumptions.

    Additional or preferred qualifications

    + Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.

    + 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

    + 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.

    + 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry

     

    Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
