Job Description
The Manager is responsible for overseeing staff, operations and resources within a department or division to ensure optimal result and high employee engagement. The Manager ensures that the department is run according to institutional policies and any applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
+ Note one of the below required:QHP Required: LMHC,LMSW,CASAC
+ Four years of paid experience in health care delivery, social work, counseling, community or addiction services, public health, public administration, social research or related fields required
Responsibilities
1. Administers and monitors clinic site and departmental activities, including Compliance with CSAT and JCAHO standards.
2. Compliance with HRA regulations and oversight of STARS Reporting
3. Compliance with OASAS regulations and work scopes, including data collection.
4. Manages the daily operation of the clinic site to ensure efficient and effective delivery of treatment services.
5. Manages and monitors patient assignments, completion of required paperwork and submission of monthly reports to funding source and regulatory agencies.
6. Facilitates interdisciplinary staff conferences to review patient progress and to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
7. Reviews the quality and content of patient records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
8. Disseminates and reviews policy and procedure information accurately and in a timely fashion.
9. Develops systems to monitor completion of tasks and identify deficiencies. Establishes corrective plan of action to ensure future compliance.
10. Conducts and documents individual supervision meetings. Identifies staff deficiencies and mechanisms to improve employee outcomes
11. Participates, in conjunction with the Associate/Assistant Director of Operations in the recruiting, hiring, terminating, and evaluating of counseling, clerical and maintenance staff
12. Oversees and resolves problems related to clinic site systems including staffing and coverage, environment of care, medical records, patient confidentiality, staff/patient relations, and billing. Insures compliance with all applicable MSBI and OTP policies and procedures.
13. Participates in the development and implementation of new policies, procedures, and programs
14. Provides Saturday supervisory coverage approximately 12 times per year.
15. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities
16. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information.
17. Prepares and analyzes operational and financial reports for review by the Associate/Assistant Director of Operations and Finance.
18. Maintains personnel and payroll records as required by MSBI and program personnel policies.
19. Manages clinic petty cash and discretionary funds.
20. Oversees the collection of self-pay fees and ensures compliance with OTP policy and procedure
21. Insures that Financial Counselors see Medicaid eligible patients.
22. Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of clinic site and recommends/initiates painting, repairs, furnishings and equipment replacement.
23. Coordinates activities of security, housekeeping, and loitering patrols.
24. Serves as a liaison between building management and the clinic site, when appropriate.
25. Responsible for the security and safety of patients and staff.
26. Responsible for maintaining good relationships with community.
27. Manages clinic inventory and orders supplies accordingly.
28. Assesses needs of clinic and makes budget recommendations to Central Office.
29. Provides oversight and coordination of admission process
30. Identify and oversee regulatory exemptions from Federal and State regulations.
31. Chairs weekly staff meetings.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65193 - $97790 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
