Job Title
Senior Product Manager, Advertising Technology (AdTech)
What does a successful Sr. Product Manager for Advertising Technology do?
Every day, Clover powers payment services for hundreds of thousands of merchants in multiple countries around the world. Behind the scenes, we operate a cloud platform providing payment processing, storage, and collaboration for merchants, application developers, service providers, and our merchants' customers. Our devices and platform form the backbone of millions of payment interactions between merchants and their customers daily. We’ve built a reputation as a leading innovator by being first to market with important new payment capabilities, and we are now exploring and building new strategic opportunities to leverage our platform to create additional value and revenue streams.
As a Product Manager for Advertising Technology, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing innovative advertising solutions that leverage Clover's extensive platform and reach. You will focus on building products that enable effective engagement and deliver measurable value for advertisers, while ensuring a seamless and non-intrusive experience for our merchants and their customers.
You’ll be responsible for understanding the evolving landscape of digital advertising, identifying market opportunities, and creating product plans to build and integrate advertising capabilities. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic intersection of Fintech and advertising, helping to drive the development and commercial launch of new monetization products. You’ll help create compelling product marketing materials, educate various sales channels about new features, and contribute to winning strategic deals with advertising partners.
This role requires you to be technically conversant in digital advertising platforms, data analytics, and integration technologies. You will work closely with external advertising agencies, technology partners, and internal engineering teams, and must be comfortable with the technical aspects of ad serving, targeting, measurement, and reporting. At the same time, you must have an ability to think strategically about new business models, partnerships, and how advertising solutions relate to Clover’s overall business objectives and market position. In addition, you must also understand the current landscape of payment industry players, and crucially, the broader advertising technology ecosystem. Finally, you must possess well-honed communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to executives, customers, and partners.
What you will do:
+ Track advertising industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape as they relate to platform monetization and digital advertising.
+ Own the product strategy and roadmap for advertising technology products at Clover.
+ Collaborate with engineering, data science, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and maintain the roadmap for advertising technology products.
+ Help build robust business cases for new advertising products, services, and features, focusing on revenue generation and value creation.
+ Define detailed user stories and requirements for your advertising products and services, covering aspects like ad content management, scheduling, targeting, and performance measurement.
+ Collaborate closely with engineering, documentation, quality assurance, and operations colleagues to deliver scalable and reliable advertising technology products and services.
+ Consult with advertising partners and internal teams to create effective solutions that leverage our platform for successful advertising campaigns.
+ Analyze performance data and feedback from advertisers and internal stakeholders to continually improve the effectiveness and value of advertising solutions.
+ Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to advertising revenue, campaign performance, and platform utilization.
What you need to have:
+ 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the payment space.
+ Demonstrated experience in Advertising Technology (AdTech), digital advertising, or platform monetization.
+ Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Business in related fields, MBA preferred.
+ Experience managing integrations with third-party platforms and APIs.
+ Experience with Agile development methodologies.
+ Experience creating and nurturing corporate partnerships, especially with advertising agencies or ad tech providers.
+ Ability to clearly communicate product descriptions, value propositions, and roadmaps to business.
+ Capability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions, particularly related to advertising performance and analytics.
