Position Overview:
The primary role of the Clerk is to enter patient information. Supports the ED Tech, RN and Providers alike with patient concerns. Communicates patient needs to either the ED Tech, RN or Providers. Other duties as assigned to support the functioning of the Emergency Department.

EDUCATION
+ _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
+ Other: Successful completion of Data Entry operator course or equivalent education/experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
+ Previous experience with data base/windows software required.
+ Previous experience with data base/windows software required.
+ Prefer experience as a data entry clerk or in a clerical position in a hospital or medical office environment.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
+ Completion of a course in computer science, windows, excel or related software preferred.
+ Ability to read technical data, interpret information and follow instructions.
+ In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
+ Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to data enter documents in a timely manner with zero errors.
+ Excellent customer service skills, organizational and priority setting skills a must.
+ Understands and applies TQM principles on problem solving and promoting excellence.

Pay Range is $29.43 to $36.95 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
