Part Time - Research Support Specialist
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, Population Sciences or related field. Research project experience in Cancer Epidemiology and/or Cancer Prevention. Experience collecting and analyzing data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, Population Sciences or related field.
Brief Description of Duties:
Assist the Principal Investigator in the Cancer Center Population Sciences with conducting data management and data analysis to analyze cancer risk and survival in a cohort of Beryllium workers and other ongoing cancer prevention projects.
The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Duties:
+ Conduct research projects using the prescribed scope and methodology in Cancer Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention to analyze cancer risk, latency and survival.
+ Collect and analyze data, including periodical /literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related field to analyze the collected data.
+ Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations. May also assist in grant writing.
+ Other duties as assigned.
