    Job Summary:

    Under broad supervision, prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.

    Job Description:

    + Properly stores food by adhering to DBHDD food safety policies, procedures, and sanitation

    + Sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.

    + Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations

    + Maintains positive attitude towards individuals (patients) co-workers, etc.

    + Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables

    + Carries pans of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.

    + Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.

    + Resolves meal delivery concerns and relays relevant on information to supervisor

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + One (1) year of work experience as an assistant in preparing, cooking and serving food in a food service operation

    + Six (6) months of experience in preparing, cooking and serving food.

    + following menus in serving diets.

    High School and College Degrees Must Be From an Accredited Institution

     

    An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed.
