    _Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a_ **_Principal_** **_Engineer, Process RF Systems,_** _based out of_ **_Rolling Meadows, IL._**

     

    _This position would include providing process support for the manufacture of the Shop Replaceable Units. This position will also support aerial, military-grade, or space-grade Electronic Warfare Systems and Subsystems._

     

    _Building a strong professional relationship with other Manufacturing disciplines (Process Engineering, Project Management, Shop Operations, Mission Assurance), strong decision-making skills, and a high-level ethical standard is essential._

     

    **_What you'll get to do_** _:_

    + _Support to Production_ _: Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production technician, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality organizations to meet manufacturing contractual commitments. Investigate, design, and provide solutions to support nonconformance repair procedures._

    + _Process Development/Maintenance_ _: Generate and maintain/revise Manufacturing Engineering Process Specifications, Work Instructions, Routers, Tooling/Fixturing, and Equipment._

    + _Continuous improvement_ _: Review of quality metrics to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects._

    + _Producibility reviews_ _: Collaborate with design engineering to achieve producibility in new and updated product designs._

    + _Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors._

    + _Work with Microsoft Office Suites._

    _Basic Qualifications: Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer (RF Systems)_

    + _Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; 3 Years with a Master's; 1 Year with a PhD_

    + _Experience interpreting drawings and specifications with limited assistance._

    + _Experience in either creating process work instructions, working in a manufacturing environment, or working in a design environment with limited assistance_

    + _The ability to obtain and DOD security clearance_

    + _United States citizenship required._

    _Preferred Qualifications: Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer (RF Systems)_

    + _Active DoD Security clearance._

    + _Experience in presenting various levels of management on projects and issues._

    + _Project management experience on medium-to-large-scale projects._

    + _Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment._

    + _Experience with automated manufacturing equipment._

    + _Prior experience with Integrated Micro Assembly (IMA) manufacturing and/or Circuit Card Assemblies._

    + _Experience with the manufacturing of Traveling Wave Tube Assemblies (TWT)._

    + _Proven excellence with Root Cause Corrective Action methods._

    + _Experience in developing/improving manufacturing processes for Radio Frequency (RF) Electronic products and/or equivalent._

    Primary Level Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
