    About the Internship:

    We are seeking a motivated and insightful MBA Product Manager Intern to join the Wirecutter team for the Summer 2025 period. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital product management within a dynamic media and e-commerce environment. You will work directly on reader-facing product initiatives designed to enhance user engagement, drive monetization, foster reader habituation, and grow our audience. This role provides exposure to product strategy, bi-annual roadmap planning, cross-functional collaboration, and the execution of features that impact millions of users.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Product Manager Intern, you will support key projects and learn from experienced product leaders. We expect you to contribute by:

     

    + Supporting Strategy: Contribute to the product strategy for reader-facing features, analyzing how new experiences can drive our goals for monetization, habituation, and audience growth.

    + Assisting Prioritization: Help identify and prioritize potential product improvements by contributing to opportunity sizing, user research analysis, and building persuasive business cases.

    + Contributing to Experimentation: Participate in the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests, unmoderated testing and other experiments to validate concepts and gather insights for roadmap development.

    + Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Work alongside Design, Engineering, Editorial, Research, Data, Marketing, and Commerce teams to understand needs and support the development process.

    + Defining Scope: Assist in breaking down larger product ideas into manageable components and achievable steps suitable for iterative development.

    + Communicating Clearly: Practice clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders, helping to maintain alignment on project goals and progress.

    + Developing Product Sense: Gain exposure to user experience principles and develop an understanding of how design and functionality impact reader satisfaction and business outcomes.

    + Supporting Execution: Partner with the engineering/development team to help deliver engaging user experiences that align with Wirecutter's standards and strategic objectives.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Currently enrolled in an MBA program.

    + Demonstrated interest in product management, digital media, technology, or e-commerce through coursework, projects, or prior experience.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Authorization to work in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Previous internship or work experience in product management, technology, digital media, consulting, or a related field.

    + Familiarity with digital product development processes (e.g., Agile methodologies).

    + Exposure to concepts related to e-commerce, affiliate marketing, digital advertising, or subscription models.

    + Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams.

    + A passion for user-centered design and creating great digital experiences.

    The hourly rate of base pay for this role is:

    $30 — $30 USD
