Location/Division Specific Information Within Thermo Fisher Scientific's Specialty Diagnostics group, the Microbiology Division (MBD) operates as one of the company's global divisions. It is a world-leading manufacturer of culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products used in clinical, food, and pharmaceutical laboratories. The division has over 2,000 employees across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, generating approximately $600M in revenue. Primary global sites are located in Basingstoke, UK, and Lenexa, Kansas, USA, with 10 other manufacturing sites across Europe, the UK, and Asia, along with multiple distribution centers. These facilities are all part of a global supply chain that serves customers worldwide. What you will do: This commercial leadership position leads all aspects of MBD growth and strategy throughout North America, including corporate clients, global partners, inside sales, and distribution channels. The role partners with MBD sales, product management, finance, marketing, and Thermo Fisher corporate account teams to identify and implement high-impact product category and field-based initiatives. This role involves overseeing the growth objectives for the division’s offerings in North America. Additionally, it will improve initiatives concerning fresh product introductions, sector segment tactics, vital clientele, and on-field cooperation endeavors within the region. + Drive revenue growth in each GTM segment. + Conduct thorough market analysis to find opportunities and threats specific to the region. + Build and complete corrective measures to address identified issues. + Develop and implement customized growth strategies to improve market share and establish a strong sales pipeline in the area. Collaborate with local teams to tailor initiatives to regional needs + Establish clear critical metrics for market share growth, lead generation, and conversion rates. Implement regular evaluations and oversight processes to guarantee progress towards these objectives. + Define programs, standard work, establish clear cadences that drive accountability and forecast accuracy. + Engage and build strong relationships with Corporate accounts, Key Accounts, Channel partners and Inside Sales to market and promote MBD products and services. + Identify key individuals in the area, important customers and channels of distribution, and foster relationships to drive advancement + Supervise market dynamics and understand competitors for MBD + Collaborate with various departments within Thermo Fisher Scientific to work closely together, seek support, and receive assistance in implementing business/market strategies; such as Division Heads, Vice Presidents/General Managers, Sales Leaders, Marketing, Product Management, Operations. + Ensure BU and Commercial leadership business needs are addressed and communicated in a timely manner. + Work together and exert influence to lead co-workers and worldwide channel partners + Develop sales business plans to identify key areas of growth potential and strategy to assemble both short and long term growth. + Sets up comprehensive reviews on a quarterly and monthly basis to evaluate progress towards growth objectives or deviations from the plan + Develop processes to identify category shortfalls within specific product categories and institute measures to improve performance + Establish bold but achievable growth targets + Know how to get market assessment information and have the flexibility to act + Actively participate in the AOP development + Develop an annual regional marketing plan that supports growth initiatives + Establish appropriate sales targets for the region with input from each business unit + Provide a monthly report and track metrics to AOP + Build and implement programs that drive revenue improvement + Coordinate MBD’s activities for National Sales Meetings How you will get here: Education + Bachelors degree in Sciences, Engineering or Business required; Experience + Demonstrated ability in industry, academia, or related field with dynamically growing responsibilities. + Experience in direct/distribution sales and marketing + Experience in Product Services Knowledge, Skills, Abilities + Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and sales data analysis. + Ability to plan, gain consensus and implement a project to completion and success. + Shown success in forming interdepartmental relationships. + Ecellence in oral and written communication skills. + Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgment and attitude. + Strong organizational and time leadership skills. + Ability to travel up to 50% of time, both domestic and international Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
