    Company Description

•Invented for Life” drives us at Bosch and our vision of future mobility. Autonomous vehicles will change the way we move and at Bosch we are working on making this future a reality. We are now growing our team to solve some of the hardest automated driving problems, and are looking for experts for product engineering of AI-based Autonomous Driving systems.

    Job Description

As a Senior Tech Lead - E2E AI Simulation & Evaluation for Advanced Autonomous Driving, you will be at the forefront of building a cutting-edge, multi-level simulation environment to accelerate the development and validation of our AI-based autonomous driving systems. You will lead the technical vision and execution for our high-throughput simulation and evaluation platforms, focusing on both high-fidelity sensor-level simulation and scalable object-level simulation. Your work will directly address the challenge of scaling up training and testing without a massive real-world fleet, enabling us to generate billions of kilometers of driving experience and ultimately train a robust world model for our AI systems. This is a global role that requires you to define and manage a global simulation ecosystem that enables continuous development and deployment of our ADAS systems. You will be a central part of our Bosch ADAS Global AI Backbone.

    Responsibilities

+ Lead AI Simulation Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for high-throughput and closed-loop simulation. This includes both high-fidelity sensor-level simulation for perception training and scalable object-level simulation for behavioral training, leveraging GPU-accelerated technologies and parallelization methods.

+ Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring emerging simulation technologies, such as those from open-source projects or industry leaders. Lead the development of a world model to predict and generate complex, realistic scenarios for both training and validation.

+ Build Simulation & Evaluation Platforms: Oversee the design and evolution of the simulation ecosystem, encompassing scenario generation, behavior simulation, model training through reinforcement learning, and a robust testing and evaluation framework.

+ Global Collaboration: Work closely with global ADAS teams to ensure the simulation and evaluation platforms are seamlessly integrated and support various L2++ systems. Your experience with L2++ system SoP (Start of Production) is a must.

+ Technical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of highly skilled engineers, fostering collaboration and ensuring the team's work is aligned with the overall ADAS technology roadmap.

+ System Integration: Ensure the simulation platform and its generated data are effectively used for both open-loop and closed-loop testing to validate AI model performance and system robustness before physical vehicle deployment.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

+ Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

+ Proven track record leading complex software projects from concept to production in the ADAS domain.

+ Experience with L2++ system SoP, with a focus on simulation, testing, and validation of autonomous systems.

+ Deep understanding of simulation platforms and their application in training and evaluating AI models, from a high-level object-based to a low-level sensor-based perspective.

+ Proficient in C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages.

+ Strong leadership skills and experience managing a global team.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

+ 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded systems, automotive, or robotics.

+ Significant experience with high-throughput simulation, parallel computing, or reinforcement learning.

+ Experience in developing or using world models or other generative AI models for simulation.

+ Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
