    Overview:Responsible for set-up, operating, and tending to equipment used in the mixing and blending of product.

    Job Description:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Operate equipment such as pumps and conveyors to move materials or ingredients through the production process.

    + Add or mix ingredients according to formula for processing, using equipment. Responsible for measuring ingredients to ensure integrity of formula.

    + Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using equipment and machinery.

    + Drain batches from equipment into storage tanks. Unload batches into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.

    + Preform daily quality inspections and make adjustments to product and equipment as necessary through the collection of samples

    + Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by the Department Supervisor/Lead.

    + Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitizing equipment

    + Responsible for trouble shooting machine and making minor repairs, as well as assisting in preventative maintenance tasks

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + Prior machine operator experience (preferred)

    + Ability to operate fork truck and pallet jack

    + Computer knowledge and documentation

    + Must keep pace with line and able to adjust to changing demands and environments quickly.

    + Must work as a team player, ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe and efficient manner and communicate well with other team members.

    + Must follow company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, Plant Rules and Policies.

    + Assist other departments as assigned by Supervisor/Lead/Manager.

    + Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

    + Must strive to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.

    **These positions will require employees to require long work hours (12-hr shifts) during start-up that could also include 6-7day work weeks as the processes ramp up.

     

    NOTE: Selected candidate(s) will be evaluated during a 60-day introductory period to ensure they have ability to perform the job as described above.
