About the role
As a Project Coordinator Consultant you will make an impact by supporting successful project execution and delivery for a healthcare client coordinating project activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and facilitating communication across cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will:
Support end-to-end project delivery by coordinating schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
Maintain and continuously improve project documentation, including charters, meeting minutes, status reports, and action logs.
Drive alignment and accountability by facilitating stakeholder meetings, capturing decisions, and monitoring follow-up actions.
Identify and track risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate and assist in mitigation planning.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and organizational governance standards.
Develop ready executive dashboards, progress summaries, and performance insights for leadership and steering committees.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in New York, City, New York.
What you must have to be considered
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in project coordination PMO support, or project management roles within a consulting or corporate environment.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across levels of the organization.
These will help you succeed
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in healthcare projects, operations, or IT implementation projects.
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and healthcare IT platforms.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS guidelines).
Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or CSM are considered an asset.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $64,350 - $101,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
