Job Overview

The **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care/Nursing Home and Transitional Care unit regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our welcoming Skilled Nursing Facility in Minneapolis, MN.

Nursing schedule includes;

+ Casual / on call

+ Evening or overnight shift

+ Must work a minimum of three shifts per month, which includes two weekend shifts per month and one holiday per year

Responsibilities:

+ Provides professional nursing cares and treatments

+ Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff

+ Maintains current observation and documentation of resident health status

Required:

+ MN LPN licensure

+ AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers

+ BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice

+ 0-1 years of experience

+ Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines

Preferred:

+ Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree

+ 1-3 years of experience

+ MS Office, Excel, and Word

+ Point Click Care knowledge
