Job Summary
Geisinger is offering a generous sign-on bonus for qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Cardiovascular Surgery: $7,500 for eligible candidates and up to $10,000 for LPN's with 5 or more years of experience.
Job Duties
Geisinger is seeking a dedicated Clinic Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team and provide essential clinical support to providers, patients, and families. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality care and ensuring continuity throughout the patient’s treatment journey.
Sign-On Bonus:
+ $7,500 for eligible LPN candidates (paid over 24 months)
+ Up to $10,000 for LPNs with 5+ years of experience (paid over 36 months)
Schedule Details:
+ Full-time union position (40 hours/week)- Monday through Friday- dayshift hours.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Document patient medical history, chief complaint, and vital signs to support provider assessments.
+ Deliver direct clinical care under provider direction.
+ Assist with minor surgical procedures and diagnostic exams.
+ Collect and prepare lab specimens with accurate documentation.
+ Communicate with patients regarding care plans, follow-ups, and provider instructions.
+ Administer medications, vaccines, and skin tests within scope of practice.
+ Maintain clean and aseptic exam/treatment rooms and ensure equipment readiness.

Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 1 year-Nursing (Preferred)
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
