Job Summary
The Department of Poultry Science is looking for a student to assist with all operations pertaining to theFOR Solutions composting system located at the Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center.
Essential Functions
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Transporting food waste from main campus to the Miller Center using a university owned pick-up truck with hydraulic lift gate
+ Transporting finished compost product back to main campus or other designated areas
+ Weighing and loading food waste and carbon sources into theFOR Solutions composting system
+ Monitoring the internal temperature of theFOR Solutions composting system
+ Collecting and submitting compost samples to designated laboratories
+ Maintaining a clean working environment
+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
+ Currently enrolled as an Auburn University student.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass anMVR .
+ Must be able to lift 50lbs.
+ Must be able to work at least 12 hours a week.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Ability to push/pull containers weighing up to 250lbs.
Pay Rate
$12.00 - $15.00/hour
