**Purpose:** The **Associate Director, Market Access Insights & Analytics (MAIA)** , is a high-visibility role, serving as a trusted advisor to our Strategic Customer Group (SCG) and cross-functional business leaders. Your insights will directly shape market access strategies and resource prioritization with key partners within the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) Business Units, helping us navigate healthcare system dynamics and shape the future of patient access in the US. Partnering with other functions within StAT (Strategy, Analytics, & Transformation), you will successfully execute high-impact analyses, insights, and strategic guidance that optimize business decisions related to payer, provider, patient services, pricing, contracting, and product distribution. In addition, you will interpret market intelligence related to major US healthcare system and policy events.
You will be responsible for:
Transform Insights into Strategy
+ Gather, synthesize, and interpret strategic customer analytic data and market intelligence; connect emerging healthcare market events to business implications.
+ Partner with SCG to design and optimize access strategies using deep stakeholder insights, competitive analysis, environmental trends, and patient journey analytics.
+ Provide strategic inputs to shape key SCG processes, such as the Market Access Readiness Review (MARR).
Drive Market Access Analytics and Insights
+ Coordinate payer & healthcare system teams, and appropriately prioritize and deploy resources for market access analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence, healthcare quality related insights, and scenario planning.
+ Shape MAIA processes to ensure industry-leading analytics and actionable intelligence for business leaders.
+ Drive efficient resource allocation across SCG’s priority initiatives, to drive significant organizational impact and accelerate profitable growth.
Influence & Advise Senior Leaders
+ Apply problem solving and communication skills as a strategic advisor to MAIA, SCG, and Customer Engagement & Digital Transformation (CEDT) leadership.
+ Deliver data storytelling that packages disparate datasets into compelling narratives for key stakeholders.
+ Collaborate on scenario planning and competitive simulations to guide market access, pricing, contracting, formulary access, and pull-through forecasting, monitoring, and decision-making.
+ Foster a proactive, collaborative, and insight-driven organizational culture.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education:
+ A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; Advanced Degree (MBA/MS/MA/PharmD/PhD) preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ A minimum of 7 years of related business experience is required
+ 5 years’ experience in business analytics/market research/insight development is required
+ Project management experience, and internal client management and/or consulting experience is required
+ In-depth knowledge of market access dynamics (e.g. payers, IDNs, specialty pharmacy, patient access, trade distribution) is required
+ Experience working with payer, provider, pharmacy, claims, and pricing data sources (e.g. IQVIA, MMIT, SSR) is required
+ Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Tableau is required
+ Excellent written & oral communication skills, and the ability to package existing disparate data, develop key takeaway insights, and deliver effective data storytelling presentations to senior leadership is required
+ Demonstrated success as a strategic advisor to business leaders, as well as shaping and influencing without authority
+ Ability to be innovative, proactive, and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment is required
+ Knowledge of market research techniques and concepts (e.g. test/control, model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling) is preferred

This position is based in Titusville, NJ (or Horsham, PA) and may require up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$120,000 - 207,000
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
