    INTERNAL FLEET DRIVER - NIGHT SHIFT

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Support loading, driving, and unloading of flight, non-flight, fabrication, and tooling items between SpaceX sites at Cape Canaveral

    + Safely load trucks at pickup points and transport truckloads to the destination following the rules of the road at all times

    + Safely load and unload trucks at designated drop-off points

    + Responsible for ensuring truckload contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destination

    + Responsible for scanning barcodes, meeting business WMS requirements

    + Review all documentation for the correct items to be delivered, as well as the precise delivery area

    + Maintain all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during delivery

    + Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to the manager immediately

    + Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and refueling when low

    + In case of an emergency, contact the immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy the issue

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or equivalency certificate

    + 2+ years of professional commercial driving experience

    + 1+ years of professional forklift experience

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Counter-balance sit-down forklift experience

    + Material handling and heavy-haul driving experience (over 26k GVW)

    + Experience driving for a high volume manufacturing environment

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team

    + Strong customer-service delivery background

    + CDL Hazmat endorsement

    + CDL Tanker endorsement

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Valid CDL Class A license

    + Clean DMV record

    + Ability to work the following shift: Monday - Friday 6:00pm - 4:30am

    + Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

    + Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
