Work Schedule:
+ Varied daylight and evening shifts, primarily Monday through Friday!
+ Rotating weekend (Saturday) and on-call hours.
+ On-call holiday rotation.
+ 8-hour shifts with the possibility of 10-hour shifts after training.
The Magee MRI Department specializes in women's MRI imaging, offering access to a state-of-the-art Siemens Vida 3T MRI scanner, which has significantly enhanced our imaging quality, reduced scan times, and improved overall patient comfort! Our advanced diagnostic capabilities are tailored to the unique needs of our patient population, and our team is passionate about advancing women's health through cutting-edge imaging technology.

Responsibilities:
+ Performs MRI procedures while practicing MR safety guidelines.
+ Prior to the start of exam, reads and presents all relevant information to the physician based on protocol and identifies all patients properly by using two identifiers.
+ Labels, prepares, and administers contrast.
+ Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required.
+ Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, all patient information is updated and documented, all exams are properly networked, and all charges are adequately entered appropriately.
+ Interacts with both patients and coworkers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
+ Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner, and the ability to explain procedures to help allay the patients' fears and solicit their cooperation.
+ Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program.
+ ARRT registry-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date.
+ MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date, or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
+ CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
