             Job Summary The Compliance Associate position’s purpose is to advise on compliance and risk considerations for business processes, perform routine assessments to identify potential issues, and assist with federal and state grant administration. The Compliance Associate will help EPB meet its objectives by assisting with the implementation of new policies, processes, and controls that mitigate compliance and business risks. Duties & Responsibilities + Assist with overall grant administration + Review internal reports of grant expenditures for accuracy and compliance + Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reporting requirements + Coordinate grant project activities with operational and accounting departments to ensure compliance with requirements + Perform routine assessments to identify potential compliance risks and document areas for improvement + Prepare reports that detail findings and recommendations for improvements to mitigate compliance risks + Assist with the implementation of policies, systems, or controls to reduce compliance risk + Stay up to date with regulatory changes impacting EPB’s compliance environment + Assist the Director of Privacy & Compliance with oversight and administration of the Privacy, Compliance, and Security programs + Assist with the development and maintenance of Privacy, Compliance, and Security training programs + Assist with internal policy drafts Education & Experience + Bachelor's degree or higher in related fields such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology. + 2-5 Years of experience in Compliance or Audit related positions. + Knowledge of Federal regulations, such as the 2 Code of Federal Regulations (2CFR). + Knowledge of general business compliance requirements. + Knowledge of Risk, Privacy, and Security frameworks. Certifications and Other Requirements + Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles. + Excellent oral and written communication, decision-making, analytical, and time management skills. + Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to foster open communication are required. + Ability to work and generate output deliverables (grant reports, internal reports, compliance assessment, policy drafts) with minimal supervision is required. + Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines is required. + Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity is required. + Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization is required. + Ability to work well in a team environment is required. + Must be able to work in excess of standard hours when necessary. + Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office 365. + Must keep current with technical and professional knowledge as well as actively pursue new skills and knowledge to prepare for additional responsibilities. May perform other duties as assigned. EPB provides electric and communications services, which are considered critical infrastructure by the Department of Homeland Security. This EPB job is essential to support this critical infrastructure and may be required to work onsite or in the field to maintain these services.
