Job Description

BAE is searching for a Business Technology Officer (BTO) to serve as the primary partner between the business/function and the Information Technology (IT) function. The BTO is accountable to provide secure, scalable and efficient IT services, strengthen cyber compliance, successfully deliver major programs, execute to enterprise & sector IT strategic direction.

The BTO is expected to deliver the following key outcomes:

A business technology strategy and capabilities roadmap that aligns with sector goals and enterprise objectives.

Effective and active management of sector IT investments and budgets.

Efficient delivery of IT shared services, with attention to cost, quality and speed with prompt support and resolution of issues.

Strong and lasting relationships with sector, ESS and Inc. stakeholders.

An enterprise mindset to bring best capabilities to the sector in support of their strategic needs.

Successful delivery of major programs and technology solutions.

CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity standards with strong focus on continuous compliance across all areas within the sector.

Increased adoption of Inc.-level technology initiatives.

Improved customer agility, efficiency, innovation capabilities, and quality of products and services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnership: Serve as the strategic interface among sector leadership and enterprise IT, aligning technical solutions with sector goals and BAE objectives.

2. Business Technology Strategy: Develop, articulate, and drive the business technology strategy and capabilities roadmap for the assigned sector or major functions.

3. IT Investment Management: Manage sector IT investments, monitor spend to meet enterprise and sector budgetary plans and ensure accountability for sector-level IT budgets.

4. Program Delivery: Drive delivery of major programs and complete technology solutions through facilitation of cross-functional partnerships.

5. Cybersecurity and Compliance: Ensure cybersecurity and compliance requirements are met within the sector, across all organizational boundaries.

6. Change Ambassadorship: Serve as the change ambassador to sector personnel to drive increased adoption for Inc.-level technology initiatives.

7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business leaders and peer group BTOs to identify synergies to leverage and standardize solutions that fit enterprise requirements. Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive culture that enables the highest levels of partnership.

8. Business Technology Vision: Communicate sector business technology vision, strategy, and capabilities roadmap to the sector and ESS-IT organization.

9. Solution Brokerage: Serve as broker between business and Inc. to ensure solutions fit business needs.

10. Stakeholder Engagement: Initiate stakeholder engagement for demand management based on changes in business needs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Negotiation Skills: Negotiates mainly internally, at higher levels, and occasionally with external relationships.

Project Management: Senior Project/Program team member responsible for work flow which is varied in nature with situations frequently requiring new solutions.

Bachelor's Degree. 12 years of relevant work experience.

Strong business acumen, strategic focus, enterprise initiatives, product management, financial acumen, collaboration, executive level communication.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Master's Degree preferred.

+ More than 15 years relevant management experience preferred.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $196296 - $333704

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
