    Job Description

    The Patient Service Coordinator III (PSCIII) will support front desk operations providing essential administrative and patient-facing services for a newly acquired Gastroenterology outpatient facility. Key responsibilities include-

     

    • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival

    • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information

    • Collect copays and outstanding balances

    • Ensure all necessary forms and consents are completed

    • Schedule follow-up appointments, lab work, and referrals at check-out

    • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient flow

    • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

    • Answer phones, respond to messages, and assist with patient inquiries

    • Support front desk operations including scanning, faxing, and filing

    Skills and Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Experience in outpatient clinic setting required

    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment

    • Familiarity with insurance verification and patient billing processes

    • Willingness to float between two locations (Hilton Head & Hardeeville) • Epic EMR experience highly preferred

    • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations

    • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus

    • Experience with patient scheduling systems and referral management
