    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a skilled engineering fabrication technician to support the assembly and evaluation of prototype and production units for a federal client specializing in advanced command and control systems and military-grade hardware. This role involves hands-on collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate documentation of build procedures, testing outcomes, and system modifications. The ideal candidate will contribute to design refinement and manufacturability assessments, while actively participating in process optimization efforts within a dynamic production environment. Work will span office, lab, and shop floor settings, requiring comfort with typical industrial conditions such as noise, dust, fumes, and temperature variations. We are seeking a proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and is energized by a strong team culture and meaningful work.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be able to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

    • Expected to maintain a safe, organized workspace and adhere to quality and safety protocols.

    • Occasional travel may be required.

    • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs

    • Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time

    • Eye/hand coordination required, with steady and agile hands to operate equipment and tools

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

    • Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required per plant rules.

     

    $45,000 to $70,000 per year annual salary.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Skills and Requirements

    • High School diploma

    • 1+ years of experience in Engineering support, production, and fabrication

    • Experience performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis on assemblies, components, and systems

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and problem solve

    • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with management and personnel at all levels

    • Strong organizational, time management skills

    • Familiar adhering to quality and safety standards as well as industry regulations

    • Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary

     

    Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office). · Prior experience supporting a federal client or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) within a manufacturing or production environment.

     

    • Bachelor's Degree

     

    Active Clearence, Public Trust, or previously endured through extensive background check.
