DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Strategy Division leads strategy development, business development, service delivery planning and execution for UW Medicine, inclusive of Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center and in collaboration with integrated partners such as Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Valley Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
This position is highly visible, requiring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, knowledge of the programs and projects at UW Medicine, attention to detail, and ability to quickly build and maintain positive relationships with key leaders and managers across the health system and associated organizations. A strong blend of project and program management, influence, leadership, relationship management and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provides project management for full project lifecycle for large scale initiatives and enterprise critical strategic projects
+ Create structure and approach to manage complex projects including programmatic oversight of multiple projects, various project managers and workstreams and sub-projects.
+ Lead major projects and work with minimal supervision. Comfortable with interacting and making recommendations to executive and physician leaders
+ Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
+ Manage project scope, schedule, budget and change requests
+ Monitors and manages key deliverables of initiatives and ensures they are consistent with department standards and approaches
+ Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure overall program is aligned and directly supports the strategic objective.
+ Mentors junior project managers on standard processes and approaches
+ Presenting results and status to executive and physician leadership
+ Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
+ Define success criteria and communicate to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor's degree in the areas of information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field
+ At least 7 years of demonstrated success/results in Project Management (e.g., having overseen and managed multiple projects)
+ Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams to work toward deploying a different future state
+ Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences
+ Proven experience motivating high-performing individuals; creating inclusive and collaborative team environment
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
+ Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work deliverables
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated require

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$120,000.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$180,000.00 annual
