    SUMMARY OF JOB

    The Vice President Finance will be a strategic and operationally focused finance leader responsible for leading financial operations, budget and capital planning and management, and financial transformation across the Hospital system. This leader will possess expertise in analytics and drive accountability, optimize performance, and foster integration between hospital and other Redeemer Health divisions while supporting the ministry's broader strategic and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in analytics and financial operations, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments to optimize financial performance and support strategic business objectives.

     

    This position is responsible for the Healthcare Delivery division in the preparation and use of financial statements, budgets, data analytics and business intelligence to effect positive financial performance as well as operational improvements of the assigned business lines: Holy Redeemer Hospital/HRPAS (Medical Group)/IWA/CCC (Value-Based Care) and ASC and other related joint ventures. The position will collaborate with operations leaders in the HCD as well as provide synergy in revenue cycle, statistical reporting, financial statement consolidation, data analytics and forecasting models and overall financial performance of the HCD (Healthcare Division).

    RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration or related field is required, along with a Master Degree in Finance, Business, or Health Administration or Certified Public Accountant preferred.

     

    A minimum of fifteen years’ experience in Accounting and/or Healthcare Finance field and knowledge of operational and business impact of financial and budget performance.

     

    Experience and knowledge working in a health system/acute hospital setting as well as a large (100+ physician) multispecialty physician practice organization are critical requirements.

     

    This position will require a working knowledge of GAAP and consolidated financial statements. Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems, office based EMR, business intelligence tools a plus but not required.

     

    The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills. This position requires ongoing communications with other members of Senior Management on a routine basis.

     

    Knowledge of operating and capital budget development and forecasting is required.

     

    Understanding revenue cycle, third party contracting and reimbursement arrangements/structures is critical.

     

    Understanding of population health, value-based payor contracting.

     

    Track record of consistently driving results and exceeding goals.

     

    Deep understanding of financial systems, processes, and tools, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

     

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

     

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

     

    Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams to achieve common goals.

     

    Demonstrated experience in value-based care models, including Medicare Advantage, ACOs, and risk-based contracting.

     

    Proficiency in financial analytics, decision support systems, and performance dashboards to drive transparency and accountability.
