    Faculty Development Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The Office of Faculty Development, a highly visible office with activities bridging the Medical School and Michigan Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our dynamic team. The Faculty Development Coordinator will report to the Director of Faculty Development and will work collaboratively with Faculty Development program managers.

    Responsibilities*

    + Manage program logistics including room schedules and set-up, registration, catering, coordinate vendor service delivery, audio visual equipment for synchronous activities, virtual moderating over Zoom, and other services as needed.

    + Manage workshops, including the preparation and editing of program communications and curricular materials.

    + Preparation and close-out of Continuing Medical Education (CME) applications.

    + Booking meeting space and maintaining the Faculty Development program calendar.

    + Coordinates other ad hoc projects as required.

    Required Qualifications*

    + Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience

    + 2-3 years administrative support experience

    + Superior organizational skills, including ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through on a large and diverse workload simultaneously, while attending to detail and meeting deadlines.

    + Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

    + Demonstrated ability to effectively receive tasks and information from more than one person

    + Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams and independently

    + Applicants should demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and good judgment.

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    + Strong proficiency with technology including but not limited to Microsoft and Google suites, Zoom functionality.

    Desired Qualifications*

    + Previous experience working with faculty and executive level leadership

    + Previous event planning experience

    + Previous experience with MyLINC (a learning management system)

     

    Work Schedule

     

    8am - 4:30pm

    Medical Science Building 1, Ann Arbor, MI

     

    Note: This is a hybrid position.

    Background Screening

     

    Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
