    Job Summary

    Join the SYSTECH operations team and gain hands-on experience supporting the College’s technology infrastructure. As a Student Computer Operator, you’ll assist faculty and staff with computer and AV technology, contribute to IT projects, and build real-world skills in a collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in IT, systems administration, or technical support to build practical experience—even if the pay is modest, the learning and exposure are substantial. **What You’ll Gain** Real-world experience in IT operations and customer support Exposure to ticketing systems, AV troubleshooting, and inventory workflows Technical writing and documentation skills Opportunities to collaborate with experienced IT professionals Development of problem-solving and communication skills A strong foundation for future roles in IT or systems administration **Student must have WORK STUDY funding available, check with the Financial Aid Office if you’re unsure.**

    Responsibilities

    * Provide help desk-style support via Zoom and in person

    * Assist users with specialized software and AV setups

    * Create documentation, reports, and how-to guides

    * Escalate technical issues to appropriate teams

    * Monitor and troubleshoot classroom and AV technology

    * Process IT inventory and deploy equipment

    * Participate in other IT projects as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    Preferences

    Preferred but NOT required:

    * Experience with AV equipment and video conferencing

    * Experience with telephone customer service (e.g. information services, help desk, customer support).

    * Windows 10/11 and Mac OS experience

    * Interpersonal communication and troubleshooting skills
