    Non CDL Local Route Driver Job Description Draft

    Job Summary

    Iron Mountain is seeking an **experienced** Non CDL Local Route Driver to join our **Operations** team. In this role, you will be responsible for **safely operating a Mobile Shred Vehicle** and **serving as the public face of Iron Mountain** by securely handling client materials and engaging clients in a professional manner. Your primary function is ensuring the secure, efficient, and compliant transport and destruction of client records.

     

    What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

    In this role, you will:

    + **Operate and maintain** a Mobile Shred Vehicle (both manual or standard transmission) safely and efficiently, ensuring all security procedures are strictly followed.

    + **Execute** accurate and timely handling of client shredding and delivery requests, including loading and unloading materials through a variety of mechanisms without assistance.

    + **Collaborate** with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner, using wireless scanning technology and preparing accurate paperwork and records to reflect service completion.

    + **Perform** the significant physical requirements of the job, including climbing into the truck cab, lifting at least 70 pounds, and gripping/moving wheeled bins over various surfaces and elevations.

     

    What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

    The ideal candidate will have:

    + **Two (2) or more years** of preferred experience in route transportation or a service industry.

    + **Strong knowledge** of safe/efficient driving skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to adhere to and enforce all security procedures.

    + **Proven ability** to perform all physical tasks, including the necessary strength and stamina to lift at least 70 pounds and grip, push, pull, and carry wheeled bins.

    + **Must be at least 21 years old** with a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check, and a DOT physical.

    What We Offer (Benefits)

    + Pay: $19.00 - $20.00/hr

    + Schedule: Monday - Friday, Occasional weekends, Hours: 7:00 AM - Until Route Completion
