Description
The Craft Superintendent is responsible for the daily field construction of an individual project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Supervises and directs the daily efforts of the physical construction of the project through daily coordination of all field activities, subcontractor direction, and code/specification compliance.
+ Supervise all project craft labor.
+ Support and execute Site Safety & Health program.
+ Implement compliance with all project procedures.
+ Submit daily activity reports, updated schedules, and quantity reports.
+ Oversee daily site safety audits and perform corrective actions, as necessary, to correct non-compliance item(s).
+ Report finding(s) and corrective action(s) to the Project Manager and Loss Prevention Manager.
+ Understand and execute the project scope and any changes that develop. Submit field change orders and make sure they are successfully executed.
+ Understand the project costs and execute proper accounting requirements.
+ Understand and execute the projects quality requirements and procedures. Ensure that the site-specific QA/QC plan is implemented.
+ Understand and execute the site-specific safety plan. Implement the SSE program.
+ Implement necessary subcontract requests and subcontract change order requests.
+ Prepare and execute the compliance of the quality control plans.
+ Review construction documents for constructability and resolve discrepancies.
+ Conduct pre-installation coordination meetings.
+ Interview, hire and transfer craft team members to optimize crew size and skillset
+ Ensure crews have proper tools and equipment to efficiently perform the work.
+ Effectively lead foremen and crews to achieve production goals.
+ Collaborate with team members to establish overall project phasing and schedule.
+ Develop site logistic plans and maintain an orderly and clean site.
+ Participate in development of short interval schedules.
+ Provide day-to-day direction and conduct coordination meetings with trade contractors.
+ Ensure subcontractors are adequately staffed to meet the project schedule and report to Project Manager when expectations are not being met.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 10 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on construction projects.
+ Must have excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and a strong safety background.
+ Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
+ Must be able to meet company's driving requirements.
