Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Identify and define internal and external customer requirements.

+ Assist in the monitoring and documentation of material, subcontract, and labor requirements.

+ Revise project plans as appropriate to meet changing requirements.

+ Assist in the management of day‐to‐day project and operational aspects.

+ Identify, minimize, and remain cognizant of risks to safety, schedule, and budget (in that order).

+ Monitor material, subcontract, and labor costs vs. budget.

+ Assist with organizing, creating agendas for, and leading production team meetings.

+ Attend and provide updates to regular production status meetings.

+ Assist in capturing “Lessons Learned” and documenting current and future processes.

+ Other tasks and/or duties as directed.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Demonstrate professional, morally, and ethically sound behavior consistent with company policies and in keeping with a position requiring access to and the development of sensitive technical data.

+ Develop rapport and professional working relationship with both internal and external customers as well as vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other internal and external team members.

Qualifications:

+ Experience with naval ship construction, repair, and modernization.

+ The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and military and commercial specifications.

+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

+ The ability to learn and understand company accounting software and related enterprise systems.

+ Strong math as well as verbal and written communication skills required.

Minimum Requirements:

+ AA/AS plus 3 years of directly related experience.

+ High school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of directly related experience.

+ U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass and hold various background checks and security clearances.

Physical Requirements:

+ While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Use hands and fingers to type or write. Reach with hands and arms. Talk, hear, taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. when applicable.

Work Environment:

+ This position is performed in a traditional office environment, with local travel between facilities and project locations. Occasional travel outside of the local area may be required in the development of technical requirements, vendors, suppliers, and other team members.
