The Material Program Manager (MPM) role, within RTX, requires strong leadership skills with demonstrated project management experience. The MPM is accountable for managing supplier performance, strategies, and success. As the interface between Supply Chain, the Program Office/Integrated Product Team (IPT), supplier, and other functions working on both development and production contracts; this role is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and ensuring organizational and program objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities include supplier material management, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, creating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments, and future proposal activities.
What You Will Do
+ Drive processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveries.
+ Lead Supplier Strategy Planning & Proposals.
+ Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
+ Lead GSC proposal execution performance and reporting.
+ MRP support and production alignment in support of Operations execution.
+ Propose/Influence sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to ensure business area and program success.
+ Manage multiple contracts and conflicting priorities daily.
+ Process information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcome.
+ Identify/Generate material R&Os in alignment with program execution.
+ Communicate and translate Program requirements to critical suppliers.
+ Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
+ Collect and analyze performance metrics and contribute to EAC reporting/performance.
+ Ensure supplier is supporting MRP, the MPP, and the MPS.
+ Develop and execute Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities & proactively manage mitigation plans.
+ Monitor performance metrics and proactively address program and functional issues.
+ Act as key supplier and customer interface, including building Program and supplier relationships and leading weekly and quarterly engagements.
+ Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance.
+ Facilitate necessary product and process changes through collaboration with suppliers and Engineering/Quality. Facilitate resolution of product non-conformances.
+ Actively participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards.
+ Effectively communicate customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM).
+ Typically requires a bachelor’s and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advance degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
+ Minimum 5 years experience supplier management, project management and/or program management.
+ Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project)
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function
+ Experience purchasing assemblies for military applications
+ Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools, including MRP (Kinaxis/ SAP/PRISM)

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
