Job Title: Test Set Engineer
Canvas is seeking a Test Set Engineer .
Duties:
This position is to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
+ Test Set verification Process Definition:
+ Develop and document a standardized test set verification process for the Sentinel program, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.
+ SERD/Robins SME:
+ Become a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the SERD (System Engineering Requirements Document) and Robins (Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex) processes related to test set verification.
+ Serve as the primary interface of the CTF with SPO and WR-ALC for test set-related matters.
+ Test Set Discovery & Tracking:
+ Proactively identify and track all test set development activities across the program, including those in design, build, and production phases.
+ Establish and maintain effective communication with test set development teams and Points of Contact (POCs).
+ Test Strategy Development:
+ Lead the development of a comprehensive Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) test set test strategy, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives and lifecycle maintenance needs.
+ Functional Decomposition & Requirements:
+ Perform functional decomposition of system requirements to derive test requirements for test sets.
+ Assist in the development of Interface Test Specifications (ITS) and other relevant test documentation.
+ Electrical Review & Support:
+ Provide electrical engineering expertise for the review and support of Sentinel Maintenance thread testing activities as needed.
+ SPO Logistics Liaison:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for the SPO Logistics group regarding test set concerns and requirements.
+ Effectively communicate technical information and advocate for program needs.
+ WR Family of Testers Leadership:
+ Lead the development of test plans for any Warner Robins (WR) family of testers assigned to the Sentinel program Electrical SE/Part Testing SME:
+ Serve as a general SME for electrical System Engineering (SE) or electrical parts testing of Support Equipment (SE) related to the Sentinel program. Unplanned Support & Flexibility: Provide support for unplanned tasks and emerging needs within the Maintenance Thread, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
+ Trainer Alignment (Potential Future Work):
+ Potentially align with Trainer development efforts in the future to support testing certification needs, as Trainers are similar to test sets in terms of testing requirements.
+ EMI Experience (Desired): A basic understanding and ability to discuss Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) concerns is highly desirable.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field. *Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
+ 3 years of relevant experience.
+ 5 years of experience in test engineering, with a focus on Special Test Equipment (STE) or Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
+ Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
+ Experience with functional decomposition, requirements derivation, and test plan development.
+ Familiarity with military standards and specifications related to test equipment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Security Clearance:
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
Desired Experience:
+ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
