Job Description:

+ We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool) and modern data transformation workflows. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in the healthcare domain, strong SQL optimization skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. This role will support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-quality data models that power business insights and analytics in a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain dbt data models (staging, intermediate, and mart layers) aligned with data best practices and performance standards.

+ Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable, production-ready data pipelines.

+ Optimize complex SQL queries and transformations for performance, maintainability, and scalability.

+ Implement data testing, documentation, and version control using dbt and Git-based workflows.

+ Support CI/CD and deployment automation for dbt projects.

+ Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy regulations (HIPAA, PHI).

+ Participate in code reviews, documentation, and team retrospectives to continuously improve data quality and engineering practices.

+ Contribute to internal data governance and metadata management initiatives.

Experience:

+ 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles.

+ Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) in a production environment.

+ Strong SQL development and optimization skills, including performance tuning and query best practices.

+ Proven experience supporting software or data workflows in the healthcare field (payer, provider, or clinical data environments).

+ Exposure to object-oriented programming in a language such as Python or Go.

+ Familiarity with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks).

+ Strong understanding of data modeling principles, testing, and documentation best practices
