Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Test Engineer Intern\. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, acquiring, and supporting equipment designs\. The ideal candidate will possess project management knowledge, along with hands\-on mechanical or electrical experience\. Additionally, experience in engineering drawing creation and interpretation as well as data analysis is highly desirable\.

Must be a US Citizen\. This position supports a facility that requires special access\.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related technical field\.

Previous experience or a demonstrated interest in working with suppliers or in an engineering environment that involves project management responsibilities\.

Strong oral and written communication skills\.

Desired Skills:

Test‑equipment fundamentals: Read schematics/CAD Computer\-Aided Design, know common instruments & calibration basics\.

Project‑management basics: Use tools \(MS Project, Excel\) to schedule, track milestones, and manage budgets\.

Communication & stakeholder coordination: Draft specs, status reports, and facilitate cross‑functional meetings\.

Problem‑solving & data analysis: Analyze test data \(Excel, Python\) to validate performance and guide procurement\.

Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment\.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
