Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Test Engineer Intern\. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, acquiring, and supporting equipment designs\. The ideal candidate will possess project management knowledge, along with hands\-on mechanical or electrical experience\. Additionally, experience in engineering drawing creation and interpretation as well as data analysis is highly desirable\. Must be a US Citizen\. This position supports a facility that requires special access\. Basic Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related technical field\. Previous experience or a demonstrated interest in working with suppliers or in an engineering environment that involves project management responsibilities\. Strong oral and written communication skills\. Desired Skills: Test‑equipment fundamentals: Read schematics/CAD Computer\-Aided Design, know common instruments & calibration basics\. Project‑management basics: Use tools \(MS Project, Excel\) to schedule, track milestones, and manage budgets\. Communication & stakeholder coordination: Draft specs, status reports, and facilitate cross‑functional meetings\. Problem‑solving & data analysis: Analyze test data \(Excel, Python\) to validate performance and guide procurement\. Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
