    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    The Senior Consultant, Application Development is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The Senior Consultant, Application Development provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs. In addition, the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

    How You’ll Succeed

    + **Strategic Development & Execution:** Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap. Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.

    + **Strategy and Roadmap:** Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements

    + **Stakeholder Management:** Act as the solution lead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving

    Who You Are

    + **You can demonstrate 8-10+ years’** **experience in.** designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: Databases (Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (Azure, AWS), ETL (Informatica, SSIS), and Tools (Tools: source control/issue management: Git, TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps).

    + You have strong skills as a .NET Developer or Application Developer with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)) Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS.

    + Experience with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC) Understanding of Agile methodologies.

    + Experience with MS Azure, Team Foundation Server(TFS), Azure DevOps (ADO) and GIT is required. You should have familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC), understanding of Agile methodologies, and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Ideally, you understand patterns of designing applications for cloud and have knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team. You possess an excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Attention to detail. You test and deploy applications and systems, revise, update, refactor and debug code, improve existing software and develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). You serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.

    + You have the ability to write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages, participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.

    + It’s an asset if you are fluent in Object Oriented Design, JSON and Restful web services, and if you have written Unit Test and UI Automation Tests.

    + You have a degree. Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. AZ-900 certification preferred.
