    Positions details:

    + Location St. Joseph Hospital North with expectation to travel St. Joseph Main Hospital in Tampa

    + **Status:** Full-time, salary

    + **Shift:** 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    + Occasional weekends

    + **On Call:** no

    + Always in person

     

    The Clinical Nurse Educator assesses, develops, implements, and leads educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical Team Members, and creates and oversees assigned clinical programs by completing needs assessments.

     

    + Employs evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice

    + Assists in the clinical orientation of new Team Members, provides ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care Team Members

    + Actively participates in the quality improvement process, acts as a positive agent of change and communication

    + Guides other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs.

    + Performs appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned. Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice.

    + This role will focus on unlicensed PCT orientation. Expectations will be to travel to St. Jospeh Hospital in Tampa where PCT orientation is conducted every other week (total of 6 days) a month

    Requirements:

    + RN (Registered Nurse) License

    + Required BSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience OR Bachelor's in Healthcare Related Field with 4 years of Nursing Education

    + Preferred professional organization certification

    + Preferred ANPD certification

    + BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

    + Preferred ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
