Position Description:** **Patient Care Leader - RN

**BayCare Health System** is currently seeking a **Registered Nurse** to join our outstanding and compassionate **Cardiac Medical** team at **St. Joseph’s Hospital** as a **Patient Care Leader** . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. This is a Cardiac PCU unit that takes care of patients with cardiac arrythmias, MI - myocardial infarct (heart attack), overflow for congestive heart failure, and all pre/post cardiac procedures, except open heart surgery.

The Patient Care Leader responsibilities include:

+ Leading the practice of nursing and manages care on the patient care unit.

+ RN is proficient in the delivery of complex nursing care and continuously promotes quality care assuming a broad level of accountability for outcomes.

+ Providing 24/7 accountability care for assigned patients.

+ Promoting evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

+ BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

+ RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

+ ACLS Certification, if required by department

+ Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education:

+ Bachelors degree in Nursing is required

Experience:

+ 2 years of RN experience in acute care is required.
