Job Description:
Senior Supervising Civil Engineer – Rail and Transit – Virtual, California
Opportunity :
Parsons has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Supervising Civil Engineer to join our team supporting high seed rail projects in California . The successful candidate will help lead a practice supporting the CP1 phase of the California High Speed Rail Project. In this role, you will lead a team of professionals overseeing multiple engineering tasks. The project portfolio includes coordination of complex utility projects, and transit projects, with an emphasis on overseeing and managing work of engineers at various levels. **This role will interface with our Fresno offices, but can be virtually based in Caifornia.**
Responsibilities
In this role, you will act as the primary interface with Parsons’ Project Manager and discipline leads and supervise all engineering and design activities on both conventional and design/build projects. You will be a key member of our Mobility Solutions practice assisting in pursuing and executing these projects.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to Engineering Support During Construction supporting the following:
+ Respond to Requests for Information and Construction Submittals related to Roadway, Guideway and Drainage design packages
+ Lead engineer responsible for design drawing modifications related to Field Change Notices
+ Review and quality check as-built drawing packages
+ Delegate and assign tasks as needed
Past project experience on our project would also be highly desirable
Desired Qualifications
+ 15 years or more of experience in civil engineering design, with experience supporting major rail and transit projects
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
+ Professional Engineer( PE) license is desirable
+ Prior experience with California High Speed Rail is preferred
+ Knowledge of various state standards and specifications
+ Client contacts and relationships with local authorities having jurisdiction, resource agencies and other local, regional and state agencies is desirable
+ Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
+ Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
