    Job Description:

    As the Personnel Security Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison between Parsons, the FAA customer, and the selected candidate(s) for all personnel security actions and requirements along with access badge issuance, management, and renewal. You will lead coordination efforts to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant security processing of personnel working under the FAA contract. You will communicate with stakeholders, manage the security process from start to finish, maintain tracking systems, and ensure adherence to all applicable FAA, DHS, and facility security requirements.

    Core responsibilities:

    + Manage the end-to-end badge process for personnel working on FAA facilities: from application initiation, screening (including background check coordination), enrollment, issuance, renewal, termination, and badge recovery.

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for badge‐related questions from candidates, supervisors, and the FAA badging office.

    + Maintain and update tracking logs, databases, and reports related to security status, expiration, renewals, denials, suspensions, and surrenders.

    + Coordinate with Parsons HR, security, and contract administration teams to ensure candidate eligibility and documentation completeness.

    + Work closely with the FAA badge office to schedule appointments, ensure candidate compliance with procedures (photo capture, identity verification, training, etc.).

    + Monitor and report on security metrics (turnaround times, pending approvals, delinquent renewals, etc.), identify bottlenecks, and propose process improvements.

    + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies (FAA, DHS, government facility access, contractor security requirements) and keep abreast of changes.

    + Prepare communications (e.g., badge status notifications, renewal reminders) and escalate critical issues to management when necessary.

    + Provide support during audits, site visits or inspections related to security.

    + Train new hires or other team members on the security processes and related systems as required.

    Required skills and qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Human Resources, or a related field and 3 years experience **OR 7 years experience

    + Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing government facility or federal agency personnel security programs and processes (e.g., FAA, DHS, DoD, GSA).

    + Demonstrated experience coordinating with government security offices, knowledge of identity proofing, background screening, access control processes, fingerprinting, and .

    + Demonstrated experience in analyzing, interpreting, and implementing government security compliance requirements.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with senior government and contractor personnel.

    + Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

    + Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to manage tracking systems or databases.

    + This position requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility to work on a federal contract and obtain necessary facility access.

    + Ability to travel to badge office(s) or candidate sites as required.

    Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
