    Position Summary

    Provides psychotherapy to Behavioral Health Clients.

     

    Primary Position Responsibilities

     

    Provides individual therapy.

     

    Leads therapeutic groups.

     

    Accurately document client attendance and participation within designated policy timeframes.

     

    Maintains departmental productivity standards.

     

    Maintains JCAHO standards and DMHAS specialty regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and HBH policies & procedures.

     

    Maintains standards of licensing board.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    Required:

    Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field

    Preferred:

    None

    Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

    Required:

    Five years experience in the field of mental health

    Preferred:

    None

    License, Registry or Certification:

    Required:

    Professional License—LPC, LCSW, Psychologist

    Preferred:

    None

    Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

    Required:

    Knowledge of the DSM-5, De-escalation Techniques, Individual and Group Therapy expertise. Training and expertise in brief therapy models of treatment.
