    Joining Danfoss in Van Wert, OH as a 3rd Shift Tool Crib Attendant, you'll be a vital part of sustaining the efficiency and productivity of our maintenance operations. Your role will ensure that all tool crib users have timely access to necessary tools and materials, directly impacting the seamless flow of our manufacturing processes during the night shift. By meticulously cataloging new inventory and operating material handling equipment such as lift trucks, you will contribute to maintaining an organized and safe work environment.

     

    Your diligent efforts in managing inventory and facilitating smooth delivery and pickup processes will support cross-functional teams in meeting production targets and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. This position offers you the opportunity to demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service within a dynamic industrial setting.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    + Begin your shift by opening and receiving UPS packages and other deliveries with care and efficiency, ensuring all items are accounted for and recorded accurately.

    + Maintain optimal inventory levels by overseeing tool crib stock, tracking usage, and restocking items promptly to avoid workflow interruptions.

    + Work autonomously with a high degree of responsibility, exhibiting excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks during the third shift.

    + Properly store materials in designated locations and expertly utilize the PSMI Crib System to manage tool check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all transactions are documented accurately and orders fulfilled promptly.

    + Unload and transport incoming materials safely and efficiently within the facility, including handling deliveries outdoors in various weather conditions.

    + Collaborate with maintenance teams to anticipate tool needs and ensure the availability of crucial equipment, thereby facilitating timely and uninterrupted operations.

    + Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on material handling equipment, such as lift trucks, and report any issues promptly.

    What We're Looking For

    + Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate as the educational foundation for this role.

    + Demonstrate exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to comprehend and execute detailed written instructions accurately and consistently.

    + Apply basic math skills confidently to manage inventory counts, process transactions, and perform necessary calculations related to stock and deliveries.

    + Exhibit proficiency with computers and common software applications, including inventory management systems, to track and update tool crib data effectively.

    + Show reliability and a proactive work ethic, thriving in an independent work environment with minimal supervision during overnight hours.

    + Display physical stamina and dexterity required for material handling tasks, including the operation of lift trucks and working in varying weather conditions during outdoor unloading.

    + Commit to upholding safety standards and promoting a workplace culture that values precaution and responsibility.
