    Job Description

    The Stock Room Associate plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of TRS by ensuring that all supplies, printed materials, and facilities needed are handled efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating internal and external deliveries, maintaining essential office and facility supplies, and supporting various administrative and operational functions. A strong sense of responsibility, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to accuracy are key to success in this role.

    Responsibilities:

    - Print all agency correspondence in accordance with Service Level Agreements (by 11:00 AM daily, unless delayed by technical issues or mass mailings).

     

    - Print agency forms and publications.

     

    - Manage the printing of daily, monthly, and annual correspondence, reports, and calendars, including materials for Board meetings and investment reports.

     

    - Maintain quality assurance and inventory control of all agency supplies, ensuring timely delivery and availability.

     

    - Oversee the ordering, stocking, and distribution of office materials.

     

    - Perform regular inventory checks and coordinate restocking as needed.

     

    - Handle internal and external messenger duties, including daily deliveries to FISA, municipal buildings, UFT, BOE, and other locations.

     

    - Perform general facilities support, including: Setting up meeting and event rooms, Lifting and moving materials or equipment (up to 50 lbs), Managing recycling and shredding of sensitive documents, Replacing refrigerator filters, thermostat and faucet batteries, and adjusting touchless faucets, and Responding to HVAC alarms during and outside business hours, contacting vendors or performing site checks as necessary.

     

    - Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires, ensuring workspaces are clean and equipped with necessary materials (keys, cubicle tags, chairs).

     

    - Manage keys and access control: issue replacements, maintain key inventory, and coordinate locksmith services as needed.

     

    - Provide support for office equipment, including unlocking faulty doors or cabinets, arranging for maintenance, and providing replacement chairs.

     

    - Perform miscellaneous facilities-related tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    1. An associate degree or completion of 60 credits from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 9 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting, and/or actuarial science; or

    2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory full-time experience performing mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations in one or more of the following: a) a retirement or employee benefits plan; b) customer service in a financial

     

    institution; and/or c) in a position requiring the application of laws, rules and regulations and the use of statistical, actuarial or similar tables; or

     

    3. A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to “1" or “2" above. College education may be substituted for experience in “2" above on the basis that 30 semester credits from an accredited college may be substituted for each year of required experience. However, all candidates must posses a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and either 9 semester credits

     

    in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science from an accredited college or one year of experience as described in “2" above.
