             Key Responsibilities Grant Strategy & Development + Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive grants strategy focused on operational, capital, and programmatic support. + Research, identify, and qualify federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities aligned with institutional goals. + Coordinate and write competitive proposals, including multi-year and six-figure submissions. + Manage timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements for grant applications in coordination with the Finance Office. + Oversee reporting and renewal processes for existing grants, ensuring high-quality stewardship. Government Relations & Public Partnerships + Serve as the primary liaison to public sector partners, including state and federal agencies. + Cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with grantors, elected officials, and government agencies. + Monitor legislative and funding developments relevant to higher education. Institutional Collaboration + Assist faculty, academic leadership, and administrative departments and support grant concepts that achieve strategic priorities. + Support grant compliance processes and reporting in coordination with finance and sponsored programs. + Create and refine workflows, tools, and templates to streamline the grant application and management process. Job Requirements: Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree. + Minimum 3-5 years of progressive grant development experience, including a proven track record of securing six-figure awards. + Demonstrated experience with state and federal grant applications and compliance processes. + Strong writing, project management, and relationship-building skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications + Master's degree. + Previous experience in higher education. + Knowledge and experience with government relations, legislative processes, and public funding mechanisms. + Experience managing multiple complex grant projects simultaneously. Skills & Competencies + Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to align funding opportunities with institutional mission. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. + Strong organizational and project management abilities. + Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and build internal partnerships. + Knowledge of grants management systems and federal reporting platforms (e.g., Grants.gov, SAM.gov).
