    The Senior Operations Optimization Manager will be positioned within the SPG US organization and will play a vital role in advancing the development of an integrated plant manufacturing network across North America. This role will focus on activities related to common product platforms, beginning with Vinyl Siding and expanding to other aspects of the business.

     

    The Senior Operations Optimization Manager will support both SPG US and SPG CAN Operations in formulating and executing key operational strategies and annual Policy Deployment Must Win Battles. By leveraging professional project management resources, this position will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while keeping key stakeholders informed through regular progress updates.

     

    Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, Strategic Projects, this role will be responsible for implementing strategic architecture across the North American network to optimize productivity, quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost of siding products for customers in the US and Canada. The Senior Operations Optimization Manager will also collaborate with the R&D and Technology & Industrial Performance organizations to facilitate the seamless movement of products across the plant network, ensuring that the necessary equipment, tooling, materials, and qualified personnel and processes are in place. While the primary focus will be on the vinyl siding business, responsibilities may extend to other aspects of the SPG business.

     

    Additionally, the Senior Operations Optimization Manager will provide technical leadership, either remotely or on-site, to ensure operational readiness for growth initiatives outlined in the business Long-Range Plan (LRP).

     

    This role requires a collaborative leader who can effectively partner with plant management, supply chain, IT, R&D, Product Management, Quality, and other functions to achieve impactful results across a diverse and complex manufacturing network. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in manufacturing operations, supply chain/logistics, raw material formulations and handling, data analytics, ERP/MES systems, and change management, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

    Essential Functions

    + Act as the subject matter expert for SPG businesses, collaborating with internal teams to evaluate current and future capacity needs to support demand fluctuations and new product introductions. Lead initiatives to optimize and scale manufacturing operations across the SPG North America network efficiently, balancing cost, quality, and speed

    + Execute a comprehensive strategy to optimize the North America vinyl manufacturing network, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth, sustainability, and financial goals

    + Identify opportunities to improve capacity utilization, streamline operations, and reduce costs across the network that touch both the manufacturing footprint and product/brand platforms

    + Optimize service and seamless transition for our customers across plants, along with consistent quality at a high standard aligned with our brand positioning in the marketplace

    + Drive strategic initiatives to enhance production capabilities, reduce waste, improve lead times, and meet business sustainability goals across SPG manufacturing sites

    + Lead large-scale network optimization and sustainability projects, including plant consolidations and expansions, and new capability onboarding to support product innovation and sustainability

    + Ensure timely execution of projects while managing budgets, resources, and risks effectively

    + Provide technical leadership either remotely from a project basis or on-site to ensure Operational readiness for growth initiatives as defined in the business LRP

    + Other Special Projects, as defined

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline: required

    + MS, MBA: Preferred

    + Six Sigma/Lean Black Belt: Preferred

    + Certified Manufacturing Engineer: Preferred

    + Experience in Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Execution, and ERP Systems, and related fields: 10 years required

    + Proven track record of designing and implementing projects related to network optimization, capacity planning, and business integration: required

    + Demonstrated technical extrusion process expertise, including blending, extrusion, forming, finishing, and packaging: required

    + Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment: required

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $133,000 to $213,000 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

     

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 17% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $155,610 to $,249,210. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.-
